Honda’s 0 Series marks a clean reboot of the brand’s global EV strategy, launching a family of “thin, light, and wise” electric vehicles rolling out from 2026. The first production models—based on the Saloon and SUV (Space-Hub–inspired) concepts—will debut in North America before expanding to Japan, Europe, Asia and other regions.
A New Global EV Family
The 0 Series is Honda’s first truly global EV lineup, created to reset how its cars are engineered rather than simply electrifying existing models. Honda says “0” reflects returning to the company’s starting point and rebuilding around two long-term targets: zero environmental impact and zero traffic fatalities. Unlike past region-specific EVs, the 0 Series uses a unified dedicated platform, a new global “H” badge, and the same design and software philosophy across all markets.
“Thin, Light, and Wise” Philosophy
Honda’s new development mantra—“Thin, Light, and Wise”—defines the 0 Series. Thin refers to ultra-slim battery packs and compact e-axles that lower weight and allow sleek proportions with airy cabins. Light embodies aggressive weight reduction through high-strength steel, mega-cast structures and optimized packaging for better handling and efficiency. Wise represents software intelligence, including AI-driven driver assistance and a new in-house operating system that adapts to drivers over time.
First Models: Saloon and SUV
The first 0 Series vehicles will be the Honda 0 Saloon and Honda 0 SUV. The Saloon is the flagship—a low, wide, wedge-shaped four-door with generous interior space achieved via Honda’s “man-maximum, machine-minimum” philosophy. The SUV channels the earlier Space-Hub idea, offering a mid-size crossover with a flat floor, big glass areas and flexible seating. Both will be built in Honda’s new EV Hub in Ohio for North America, followed by localization or imports for other regions.
Battery, Range and Charging
Honda is developing thin underfloor battery packs using high-density NMC chemistry in the 80–90 kWh range at launch, with a larger 100 kWh pack also expected. Early estimates suggest more than 300 miles of EPA range, with higher WLTP ratings depending on market and battery size. With an 800-V-class electrical system, 0 Series EVs target rapid DC fast charging from 15% to 80% in roughly 10–15 minutes on high-power chargers. Honda also aims for less than 10% battery degradation after 10 years of use.

Software, ASIMO OS and Driver Assistance
The 0 Series debuts Honda’s new ASIMO OS, an advanced vehicle operating system that learns from driver behavior to refine comfort, navigation and driving preferences. It supports AI-enhanced route planning, smart climate control and personalized profiles. Driver-assist features include next-generation Level 3 “Traffic Jam Pilot” capability and hands-off highway functions, expanding on Honda systems already certified in Japan. Over-the-air updates will add features and improvements throughout the vehicle’s life.
Design and Driving Character
Honda wants the 0 Series to feel like true “driver’s EVs.” The thin battery structure and low-mounted e-axles create a low seating position and center of gravity, improving visibility and stability. Aerodynamics are optimized to reduce drag without bulky shapes. Interior design follows a calm, minimalist theme with large but restrained displays, intuitive controls and open, lounge-like cabins that focus on people—not tech overload.
The 0 Series is the cornerstone of Honda’s shift toward a zero-emission, software-defined future.
